Private equity-backed Financial Planning firm Amber River has raised over £135,000 for a trio of children’s charities with a sponsored charity bike ride.
Around 100 cyclists, from Amber River and across the wealth management sector, raised the money for Action Medical Research, Ruth Strauss Foundation and Winston’s Wish.
The fifth annual TAM Charity Ride covered 350km (217 miles) from Brussels to Paris between 31 July and 2 August.
This year’s cycle challenge takes the amount raised for charities under the Amber River Foundation to over £1m since its inception in 2022.
TAM Asset Management is the asset management arm of the Amber River Group.
James Penny, chief investment officer at TAM Asset Management, said: “This year’s TAM Charity Ride was a fantastic success; not only did 98 riders safely complete the 350km from Brussels to Paris, the event united so many in our industry to raise funds for children who have had a less fortunate start in life.
"From start to finish, the ride was filled with laughter, camaraderie, and thousands of espressos!”
Industry sponsors of the charity ride included: Aberdeen, Avantis Investors, Havelock London, iM Global Partner, JO Hambro Capital Management, Lansdowne Partners, One Good Thing, Pacey Print Limited, Portfolio Adviser, Premier Miton Investors, Raymond James, Royal London, Simon Dolman Property, T. Rowe Price, Urban Greens and W1M Wealth & Investment Management.
