George Kinder
US-based George Kinder, founder of the holistic Life Planning movement, has successfully secured a UK Innovator Founder Visa to allow him to live and work in the UK to launch the next stage of his global strategy from London.
Formerly known as the Innovator visa, the status gives the holder the right to stay and work in the UK for three years.
Applicants must have set up or plan to set up a UK business deemed to be innovative, viable, and scalable to be granted the £1,274 visa.
Mr Kinder has been a long-term Anglophile and has run many Life Planning courses in the UK where his movement has many followers.
The Life Planning guru, who founded the Massachussets-based Kinder Institute which provides training around the world for Financial Planners, said the visa will allow him to, “deepen his mission to transform workplaces into environments as inspired and purpose-driven as the lives of Life Planning clients worldwide.”
He said he will focus on integrating Life Planning principles into organisations - empowering employees with personal vision, values-aligned work, and leadership rooted in mindfulness, empathy, and meaning.
Mr Kinder said: “The United Kingdom, with its progressive stance on corporate responsibility and the highest number of B Corporations globally, is the ideal launching pad for this movement.
“London’s unique position as a financial powerhouse and a single flight from most of the world’s business capitals offers unmatched influence to spread the values of Life Planning worldwide.”
Kinder Institute’s training methodology of Life Planning will continue to operate globally, including the UK, through retreats and professional development courses, he said.
Mr Kinder will lead the next mindfulness-based Evoke Life Planning Training on 15-20 September in Cornwall.
He said collaborations with partners, such as NextGen Planners in the UK, will ensure the Life Planning philosophy is carried forward by a new wave of professionals. At NextGen Planners annual conference in July, the Kinder Institute will curate one of the stages and Mr Kinder will deliver a keynote.
