Discretionary wealth manager Quilter Cheviot International has hired three Financial Planners to expand its Financial Planning proposition for international clients serviced by its Jersey office.

Gillian Schweppe, Matthew Fielding and David Lockhart have all joined the business as Financial Planners.

Both Ms Schweppe and Mr Fielding have joined from SG Kleinwort Hambros while Mr Lockhart has joined from HSBC.

Ms Schweppe is a Chartered member of the FCSI who was a senior private banker at SG Kleinwort Hambros in Jersey. She previously held similar roles at a number of financial institutions on the island including at HSBC, Lloyds Bank Private Banking, Vantage Group, Omega Financial Services and RBC Wealth Management.

Matthew Fielding is also a Chartered member of the FCSI who was an associate private banker at SG Kleinwort Hambros in Jersey. He previously worked as a wealth manager at HSBC in Jersey.

David Lockhart was a high net worth premier wealth manager at HSBC in Jersey. He was previously a Financial Planner at Wesleyan in Scotland and a relationship manger at Santander Private banking in Scotland, before which he had been an international wealth manager at HSBC in Jersey.

Last September Quilter Cheviot International appointed Kevin Speake as head of advice to lead on the firm's new Financial Planning proposition.

Quilter said then it was in the process of making a number of Financial Planner hires as the Jersey office grows its client-facing team on the island.

The advisers are supported by Paraplanner Anastasia Smith.

The company said the introduction of Financial Planning capabilities into Quilter Cheviot’s Jersey office is designed to ensure it can offer international clients an integrated wealth management offering comprising of both Financial Planning and investment management.

The latest appointments come after Quilter Cheviot Europe established a Financial Planning operation from its Dublin office to serve European clients in 2022 and the UK national advice business, Quilter Cheviot Financial Planning (previously known as Quilter Private Client Advisers) became part of Quilter Cheviot in 2021.
