Saltus-backed wealth manager and Financial Planning firm Advies Private Clients has acquired Financial Planner Nicholas Trayford for an undisclosed amount.

The deal adds £100m in client assets and 100 clients to City of London-based Advies.

Mr Trayford worked for more than 20 years at a number of Financial Planning firms. He was at the Millfield Partnership from 2001 to 2004, then at Quilter Financial Planning from 2004 until 2014, before moving to True Potential from 2014 to 2024. He is a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute.

Advises was founded in 2006 by Conor MacSweeney and James Wills.

Advies is part of the Saltus Partnership Programme, which says it supports ambitious, independent planning firms looking to scale. The programme was launched by Saltus in August 2023 and Advies joined in October 2023.

The deal to acquire Nicholas Trayford was supported by financing from the Saltus Partnership Programme.

The deal pushes Advies' AUA to around £500m. Saltus has around £9bn AUA and more than 400 employees.
