Fast-growing financial Planner Finli Group, formerly Solomon Capital Holdings, has appointed former Brown Shipley CEO Calum Brewster to be chief commercial officer.
He will replace Simon Goldthorpe who has decided to step back from his role of chief distribution officer at the end of the year.
Mr Brewster will join Finli on 3 November, become part of the the executive team. He will work closely with Mr Goldthorpe, who will remain actively involved in the business.
Mr Brewster has more than 25 years' financial services experience, with a background in wealth management and advisory services. He has been a successful IFA in his own right, as well as having helped to build and grow advice and wealth teams for Barclays Wealth and Julius Baer, before becoming CEO at Brown Shipley.

He thanked Mr Goldthorpe for his “unwavering dedication to Finli since day one.” Mr Goldthorpe has devoted more than 50 years to the advice industry.
Finli celebrates its third anniversary in September and now supports more than 14,000 clients. The firm has made 51 acquisitions since being set up in 2022. It added six Financial Planning firms in July.
It acquired five Financial Planning firms in April.
Finli Group was established in 2021 under the name Solomon Capital Holdings by former Quilter Financial Planning CEO Andy Thompson and CFO Darren Sharke.
Finli is backed by private equity firm JC Flowers & Co. The firm has invested more than $18bn (£14.7bn), including co-investment, in 66 portfolio companies in 18 countries across a range of industry sub-sectors including banking, insurance and reinsurance, securities firms, specialty finance, and services and asset management.
