6 firms awarded CII Corporate Chartered status
The CII has awarded Corporate Chartered Status to six Financial Planning and insurance firms during the first two months of this year.
Corporate Chartered status is awarded to firms which reach a set of standards and make a series of commitments to professional development.
The firms that gained Chartered status in Jan-Feb are:
• Aspire Wealth Management
• Darnells Wealth Management
• Informed Choice
• North London Insurance Group
• Lane Financial Management
• Progeny Wealth Limited
Since January 2020, 50% of advisers at Chartered Financial Planning firms must hold the Chartered Financial Planner title, an increase from the previous 25% requirement.
Firms must adhere to the Chartered Ethos. The ethos includes a requirement to provide relevant learning to staff, ongoing people development, alignment of ethics and values, a customer-centric approach, support for initiatives that build public trust and a commitment to contribute to development of the profession.
Melissa Collett, executive director of professional standards at the CII, said: “We are proud to welcome these firms into our Chartered community.
"In achieving corporate Chartered status, they have made a public declaration to professional standards, and committed to upholding the Chartered Ethos of nurturing knowledge, client centricity and serving society. Corporate Chartered status is a key instrument in building public trust and is a true mark of professionalism.”
