Alliance Trust Savings adds new 8 fund providers
Alliance Trust Savings has added eight new fund providers to its platform and says that assets under management on the platform are rising rapidly.
The platform currently offers over 2,000 funds from over 70 fund providers has added a further 80 funds from GAM, Royal London, Lindsell Train, River & Mercantile, Apollo, Brown Shipley, IFSL and Sinfonia.
Over the last year the platform has seen inflows into investment funds. As at 31 August there was £1.28bn invested in OEICs/Unit trusts, up 96% from the previous year, representing 21% of the £6.2bn of assets held now on the flat fee platform.
Patrick Mill, Managing Director at Alliance Trust Savings: "The expansion of our fund range further evidences our core competence of offering advisers and clients a diverse range of investment options. In particular we have responded to adviser and client feedback regarding the addition of these new fund providers. Our wide range of assets makes Alliance Trust Savings one of the most diverse platforms in terms of investment options in the marketplace. OEICs and Unit Trusts now account for 21% of assets on platform up from 7% in 2013, which is beginning to change both advisers and clients perception that we are purely an investment trust platform."
Keith Wilson – European Sales & Client Services at Lindsell Train:"We are delighted to be partnering with Alliance Trust Savings in making Lindsell Train funds available to their advisers and clients for the very first time. We are finding that investor demand for our funds is growing steadily, and view their availability via Alliance Trust Savings as an important strategic development for Lindsell Train".
Matthew Lamb, Head of Institutional and Fund Distribution GAM (UK): "We are delighted that a selection of GAM's funds are now available through Alliance Trust Savings, particularly as this is in response to adviser demand to access both our 'unitised DFM' solution and single manager fund range. The inclusion of our offering on this platform allows advisers access to strategies that aim to deliver strong, long-term returns through some of the world's most talented investment managers."
