Beacon Wealth staff bake a treat for Sport Relief
Staff at Beacon Wealth of Cambridgeshire, along with colleagues at local law firm Jeffrey Mills Solicitors, held a Sports Relief Bake Off and managed to raise £180 for the charity.
The money will go towards the £57m raised by Sport Relief in its recent campaign.
A total of five mouth-watering cakes were baked by team members who where then individually scored on the look and taste of their cakes.
Beacon Wealth staff were split on the voting for the taste and look but overall decided that Pippa Ellis should be crowned Star Baker for her three tier Victoria sponge cake, loaded with fresh fruit and cream.
Ms Ellis said: “Another excuse to bring cake into the office and a lovely compliment to be voted Star Baker! Everyone’s efforts were lovely and the whole team enjoyed the tasting.”
At Jeffrey Mills Solicitors, Greta Rainford took a slice of victory as she was named Star Baker with her delicious chocolate cake.
Ms Rainford said: “It was lovely to see so many people taking part in the Bake Off for Sports Relief. All the cakes looked and tasted wonderful and I feel very lucky to have been chosen as Star Baker.”
All participants donated to Sports Relief and had a great time cake tasting and raising money for a worthy cause.
Beacon Wealth has also thanked one of its “lovely clients” for donating money to the charity.
