Chartered Financial Planner launches East Anglia firm
Experienced Chartered Financial Planner Rebecca Lucas has launched a Cambridge-based Financial Planning firm, Liora Wealth.
The new firm will offer full Financial Planning with a strong emphasis on goals-based planning and cashflow modelling.
Ms Lucas said Liora Wealth will utilise technology to enable the focus to be on spending quality time with clients, getting the know them and offering a high level of service.
The firm has no current plans for expansion and plans to remain small, with an emphasis on long-term client relationships.
Ms Lucas is a Chartered and Certified Financial Planner as well as a PFS Fellow.
Until August she was a Senior Financial Planner at Beckett Investment Management based in Cambridge and Bury St Edmunds. She also spent six months as a Chartered Financial Planner at Timeline Wealth Management, a year at Chase De Vere, two years at Financial Planning manager at Barclays Bank, and almost four years at Cantab Asset Management.
She started her career as a Paraplanner at Hardcastle Burton and Grant Thornton LLP.
Liora Wealth is not the first financial services business launched by Ms Lucas.
In April 2013 she launched Lime Outsourced Paraplanning and Wrap Compare, a fintech and research services business.
Ms Lucas has particular expertise on working with clients going through major life changes such as divorce, bereavement, the sale of a business, or planning for retirement.
She plans to take the Resolution Accreditation in order to demonstrate her commitment to working with client going through divorce.
Ms Lucas added that she decided to set up her own firm as it has been a long-term dream of hers.
She said: “I am always telling clients that life is short and to make sure they are getting the most out of life. I realised that I needed to set up my own boutique practice so that I can practice what I preach. My new business takes the best of what I have learned over the past 20 years.”
