Chartered Financial Planner restructures and rebrands
Two firms, including a Chartered Financial Planner, have announced they are restructuring to become unified under one brand.
Chartered Financial Planners, Cowens Financial Architects and Chartered Insurance Broker, Cowens Survival Capability and will now come under the umbrella of Cowens Group, with a new management structure in place.
The two companies will come together under a new brand identity in a move the company says will ‘consolidate’ their “five associated service offerings; risk solutions, Financial Architects, employee benefits, Survival Capability and private clients” under the Cowens Group name.
The merger will enable easier access to services, create a unified internal approach and strengthen the companies offering across the whole of its client base.
The Managing Director of Cowens Survival Capability, Paul Chaplin, will now become the CEO of Cowens Group and director of Financial Planning at Cowens.
Tony Duckworth, will step up to managing director of Cowens Financial Architects and employee benefits.
The company rebrand was officially announced last night at an event at Derby’s Pride Park stadium.
Cowens has experienced a period of growth since 2015, opening new offices in Birmingham, Stamford and Milton Keynes.
The firm says that after gaining Chartered status for both its insurance broking and Financial Planning services, the rebrand will “set Cowens Group apart as one of the leading independent providers of both services under one roof in the UK.”
Tony Duckworth, the new MD of Cowens Financial Architects and employee benefits, said: “We’re proud of how far we’ve come as two separate entities but as the business landscape changes, it was important for us to focus on a fresh, modern approach to financial services.
“By bringing our brands together under the group umbrella I believe we have reinforced our robust offering and catered to the growing demand for easy, combined and most importantly, quality service.
“The future for Cowens is an exciting one and we’re thrilled with the fresh new brand.”
New CEO Paul Chaplin said: “This is the exciting next chapter in the growth and development of Cowens.”
He added: “Now the management of both businesses is unified under one structure with common and connected branding, our clients across all brands will have easier access to our full range of services for both their businesses and their personal lines.
“It’s not only good for both sides of the business in terms of shared opportunities and widening our reach, it’s the improved ability to provide a seamless, all-encompassing service to our customers from under one roof.”
