Chartered Planner leads Celtic’s North West charge
North Wales-based Celtic Financial Planning has recruited former AFH Wealth Management Chartered Financial Planner Chris Lloyd to extend the firm’s operations in the North West of England.
Celtic is based in Mold, St Asaph, and London while Mr Lloyd is based in the Wirral.
Mr Lloyd, 43, has more than two decades experience in finance, including 15 years with AFH Wealth Management. He said he was attracted by the firm’s “personal touch” and customer-faced ethos.
Mr Lloyd said: “Celtic Financial Planning has a reputation for putting the client first, for its place in the community and social values.
“Given my experience across Wirral, Cheshire and beyond – and their plans to extend their footprint in the North West – it was the perfect fit.”
Celtic Financial Planning now employs 11 people and has won a series of accolades in recent years including the Micro Firm Financial Adviser of the Year title at the MoneyAge Awards.
Director Rob Lewis welcomed Mr Lewis’s expertise, ”particularly in pensions and retirement, high net worth clients, ethical investing, and wealth management.”
He said the arrival of Mr Lewis comes as the business celebrates securing Chartered Corporate Status, a symbol of technical competence which signifies a public commitment to professional standards.
He said: “It has been a very busy and exciting period for us, and we are already growing organically into other locations UK-wide, so this was the natural next step for us.”
He said Celtic has enjoyed a strong start to 2024. As well as a raft of new clients it has sold all the tickets to its upcoming charity event with Wales RFU coach Warren Gatland.
The Celtic Financial Planning charity ball in aid of Ty Gobaith Children’s Hospice takes place at Deganwy Quay Hotel on 25 April.
