Chase de Vere expands personal injury advice team
IFA firm Chase de Vere has expanded its personal injury team in Yorkshire.
The firm has appointed Amarjit Bansal as a personal injury and Court of Protection (PICOP) independent financial adviser based from its Leeds office.
Chase de Vere says he will head up Chase de Vere’s PICOP advice service in Leeds and expand the service throughout Yorkshire.
The PICOP team provides specialist financial advice to vulnerable people, typically those who are recipients of Court of Protection Awards from having suffered catastrophic injuries.
The Chase de Vere PICOP team provides a comprehensive service in helping clients manage personal injury awards, including investment advice to meet capital and income needs, trust services to help protect entitlement to means-tested benefits including local authority funding and deputyship services in Court of Protection matters.
Mr Bansal has been advising private individuals since 2002 and has specialised in advising those with catastrophic injury awards in Yorkshire for the past 13 years, including as an adviser for a national law firm which specialises in providing personal injury and Court of Protection advice.
He has attained Chartered Fellowship status through the CISI and has completed the CISI Level 6 Private Client Investment Advice and Management qualification.
Stephen Kavanagh, chief executive, Chase de Vere, said: “Our Personal Injury and Court of Protection team is recognised as experts in their field.
“They provide exceptional advice and service to those who have suffered major injuries and make sure that their finances are one less thing that they, and their families, need to be worried about.
“We are aiming to grow our Personal Injury advice and so are delighted to have recruited Amarjit.
“There are very few professionals who have his level of experience and expertise in this specialist sector and his appointment will be a key factor as we grow our services throughout Yorkshire.”
