CISI awards Chartered status to Dubai firm
The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI), the professional body which provides the Certified Financial Planner designation in the UK, has awarded CISI Chartered Firm status to wealth manager AHR Dubai.
AHR is a Financial Planning and wealth management firm licensed by the UAE Securities & Commodities Authority and is the AHR is the second UAE-headquartered firm to achieve Chartered firm status.
The CISI says it has had “significant interest” in Middle East firms becoming Chartered.
CISI Chartered firms must have regulatory recognition and at least 50% of staff in their core area must be individually chartered with the CISI. They must also have a CISI qualifications and CPD programme and the firm’s purpose and values must align with the CISI Code of Conduct, the CISI said.
The City of London-based CISI says it has 52,000 members, including students, in 100 countries around the world.
