The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI), the professional body which awards the Certified Financial Planner qualification, has awarded three new Honorary Fellowships to veteran financial services professionals.
The three honoured are former Rathbones chief executive Paul Stockton, former CISI NED Debbie Clarke and former CISI trustee Danny Corrigan.
Honorary Fellowships are awarded each year by the CISI’s Board of Trustees to people who the board believes have made an outstanding contribution, both to the financial services profession and to the CISI.
Paul Stockton began his career as a Chartered Accountant in 1988 with Price Waterhouse (PW) in Windsor specialising in financial services. He later worked at Old Mutual Plc as group financial controller and was finance director of wealth manager Gerrard Limited. He also worked for Euroclear and at the Phoenix Group, before joining Rathbones as group finance director in 2008.
Mr Stockton became group chief executive at Rathbones in 2019, a role he held until his retirement in September 2025, two years after completing Rathbones’ merger with Investec Wealth UK. He has served as an NED at the Financial Services Compensation Scheme, as a board member of the Personal Investment Management and Financial Advice Association (PIMFA), and as a member of the FCA Practitioner Panel.
Debbie Clarke has worked within financial services, corporate finance and M&A since 1996 and held a number of leadership roles within accountancy practices. Across her NED portfolio, she has chaired and been vice chair at various board and committees.
She became a CISI member in 1999 and became a NED of the CISI in 2017, a post she held for six years before stepping down to focus on her trustee role on the CISI Future Foundation, which was set up in 2022.
Danny Corrigan is a senior manager with 40 years’ experience of the wholesale financial markets, leading teams across a range of asset classes including fixed income and derivatives. He also has worked locally in the markets of Moscow, Sydney, Tokyo, and others. He has worked as a banker, trader, and broker for a dozen firms.
He was co-founder of London Reporting House, a fintech start-up in April 2023. He was previously a trustee and board member of the CISI and chaired its international committee.
Michael Cole-Fontayn, CISI Chair, said: “The three accomplished and outstanding financial services professionals are consummate role models for our next generation of sector talent with their commitment to lifelong learning and the CISI community. We look forward to their inspiration and leadership over the years ahead.”
Honorary Fellowship carries the designatory letters FCSI (Hon).
