CISI flagship Paraplanner Conference shifts to London
The CISI’s Paraplanning Conference is to move to London this year and will be free for the first time for CISI members.
The event has been held in the Midlands for many years but organisers believe a move to London will help more people attend as transport to the Midlands venue was limited.
Last year more than 100 Paraplanners and other delegates attended the conference.
This year’s event will take place at the America Square Conference Centre in the City of London on 11 May from 9 am to 5 pm.
The programme is still being finalised but will offer 6.5 hours CPD, two streams covering technical and soft skills, interactive sessions and the ‘The Big Paraplanner Social’ which will include a trip to the popular Flight Club darts venue.
The conference is free for CISI members in contrast to previous years when there was a charge to attended. For non-members the cost to attend is £110 and the social evening is extra.
In his latest column for Financial Planning Today, leading Paraplanner Dan Atkinson, one of the conference organisers, and CISI Paraplanner Interest Group chairman, said: “The conference is a great opportunity for Paraplanners to gather, learn and get to know each other.
“The committee members set the content and help find speakers to deliver it.”
