Financial Planner Cooper Parry Wealth has made two senior appointments to strengthen its presence in Birmingham and across the Midlands.
Chris Davies has joined the firm as client relationship director.
Mr Davies’ new role will see him supporting business owners, founders and senior executives as they navigate pivotal moments in their lives. These include selling a business, planning retirement, going through major change or coming into significant wealth.
Paul Holbrook has joined Cooper Parry as business development director. Mr Holbrook brings more than twenty years of financial services experience, including over fourteen years with HSBC most recently as regional director in the East Midlands.
At Cooper Parry Mr Holbrook will focus on building trusted relationships and helping more people access high quality, life centred financial planning.
Mr Davies said: “I am excited to bring Cooper Parry Wealth to the West Midlands marketplace and to support clients here with the attention and care they deserve.”
Derby-based Cooper Parry Wealth was set up in 1999 and in 2010 changed direction by scrapping the traditional wealth management model and creating a new proposition focused on successful individuals and their families.
It has offices in the East Midlands, West Midlands and London.
Dave Holmes, Cooper Parry’s regional head for the Midlands, said: “Chris and Paul are brilliant additions to our Midlands team. Their experience, energy and passion for doing the right thing for clients will strengthen our presence across the region and support our ambitions to scale nationally.
“We are focused on growing with purpose and building a team that delivers an exceptional experience every time.”
The firm partnered with New York-based Lee Equity Partners in 2022 to accelerate its then plans to hit £4bn AUM by 2027. It is now targeting £50m+ revenue by 2028.
Cooper Parry made its eight acquisition since partnering with Lee in January, acquiring Wimbledon-based Chartered Planner firm Gem &Co.
The deal nudged up the Cooper Parry Wealth team close to 100, client families to more than 1,050 and funds under management to almost £2bn.
The Financial Planning firm expects to expand its team to over 300 within the next three years.
It took over £220m AUM Tunbridge Wells-based joint venture Creaseys Wealth in November 2023. In the same month it acquired Luton-based Chartered Financial Planning firm Chamberlyns for an undisclosed sum.
It acquired two other Financial Planning firms in 2023 including London-based Future Perfect in April.
Dave Kendrick was appointed MD of Cooper Parry Wealth last July after CEO Stephen Jones decided to retire after 20 years building the business.
