Almost 50 Financial Planners and Institute of Financial Planning members are attending a practical workshop in Edinburgh today ahead of the Scottish Conference. The Financial Planning Day workshop will help delegates with the practical skills needed for Financial Planning and how to implement it within successful firms. A similar session was held in London in February. As firms consider moving to a Financial Planning model post-RDR, now is a good time for advisers to understand how they could manage this process. The workshop is being held ahead of Tuesday's Scottish Conference with the emphasis on it being a practical session rather than a conference. {desktop}{/desktop}{mobile}{/mobile}
Speakers during the day will include Malcolm Murray from Transact, Richard Allum CFPCM from Paraplan Plus, IFP Vice-President Alan Dick CFPCM from FortyTwo Wealth Management and Paul Armson from Inspiring Advisers.
They will be speaking about the journey to true Financial Planning, cashflow planning, risk modeling and how to create profitable Financial Planning relationships. The day will be followed by an informal dinner for delegates. The official conference on the Tuesday will be attended by 80 delegates and include speakers such as IFP President Rebecca Taylor FIFP CFPCM and Michelle Hoskin from Standards International.
