Digital IFA Fintuity hit by clone attack
Expanding digital IFA firm Fintuity (FRN: 814106) has been hit by a clone attack by fraudsters.
The firm has posted a scam warning on its website warning of the attack by crooks.
The company warned: “Unfortunately, we have been made aware that scammers are purporting to be employees and advisers representing Fintuity, specifically using the name of John McAllister.”
The FCA yesterday issued a warning about the clone firm detailing that it was using the name of Fintuity while using telephone numbers +353872743994, +353874120974 and +447487608087 to try and trick potential victims.

The FCA said: “Scammers may give out other false details, including email addresses, telephone numbers, postal addresses and Firm Reference Numbers.
“They may mix these details with the genuine details of authorised firms. They may also change their contact details over time.”
Fintuity is a London-based online IFA firm which has been authorised since May 2019. Its registered name is Fintuity Limited and it has been trading under the names Fintuity since December 2019 and Fintuity Private Wealth since 28 June this year.
Many Financial Planning firms and other regulated firms, including several fund managers, have been targeted for clone attacks by scammers in recent years. Scammers try to copy the website or other details of legitimate firms as part of a fraud attempt.
In its scam warning, Fintuity told clients: “If you are in any doubt as to whom you may be speaking, kindly contact us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or by using the live chat on this website.”
