Evelyn Partners opens Brighton office
Financial Planning and wealth management firm Evelyn Partners has opened a new office in Brighton.
It claims to be the only top ten wealth management firm to have an office in the city.
The new offices at Mocatta House, Trafalgar Place, in the heart of the city will initially house a team of 12.
Brian Owen, Financial Planning director at Evelyn Partners who will be based from the new Brighton office, said: “During these uncertain times taking professional financial planning advice has never been more important. Brighton is a vibrant city and a highly desirable place to live and work where we already have many clients.
“Our new office in the heart of Brighton will provide a great working space for our team, while also allowing our clients, both new and existing, to meet our professional staff in a convenient location which is easy to reach from nearby towns and villages in Sussex.”
The office will support clients in Sussex including individuals, families, entrepreneurs, family-owned businesses and charities.
The team will also work alongside lawyers and accountants.
Evelyn said it was actively expanding its Financial Planning team including room for growth in the new Brighton office.
David Cummins, managing partner at Evelyn Parnters, said Brighton is currently underserved by wealth management firms.
He said: “We are really excited to be opening a new office on the south coast. Brighton is a fantastic city and is known for being home to many young entrepreneurs and professionals, but it has been underserved by national wealth management companies. This new office will give us an opportunity to fulfil our mission of ‘placing the power of good advice into more hands’ by growing our presence in the biggest metropolitan area along this part of the South Coast.”
Evelyn Partners was created following the merger of Tilney and Smith & Williamson and manages or advises on £55.8 billion of assets. It claims to be the second largest UK wealth manager measured by EBITDA and the sixth largest professional services firm ranked by fee income.
It has offices in 26 towns and cities in the UK, as well as the Republic of Ireland and the Channel Islands.
