Ex-Hargreaves and Tilney adviser becomes Architas director
A former Hargreaves Lansdown and Tilney Bestinvest adviser has been hired by Architas as its new investment director as part of moves to improve communication with clients.
Adrian Lowcock has this week joined the asset manager from AXA Wealth. His objective is to develop a better understanding of Architas retail investor clients and improve the way it communicates with them through advisers and the media.
Mr Lowcock said: “In the last few years there has been recognition across the investment services industry that we need to improve communications with investors. Architas have been at the forefront of this change and recognise the need to provide investors with information as well as their views on markets without always promoting a product.”
Cedric Bucher, head of Architas UK funds, Architas, said: “We are determined to work closely with our adviser clients in good times and bad. Adrian will help us do this and ensure we are talking in a clear and consumer friendly voice at all times. His background as an investment adviser and then working for a number of leading direct consumer businesses, including Hargreaves Lansdown, Tilney Bestinvest and AXA Self Investor will be invaluable in this role.”
He added: “The recent fallout from the European Union referendum shows the need for clear and concise communications. It is at times like this when clients look to advisers and the asset management industry to help them navigate the volatile environment.”
Architas has also appointed Steve Jackson to a newly created position of key accounts director. He has extensive experience, having spent seven years at Schroders and more than 15 years at M&G before his most recent role at Seneca Investment Management, during which time it acquired Miton Capital Partners. At Architas, he will be responsible for the management of existing and development of new relationships with national advice firms and networks.
Architas has also taken on Jo Pawson from AXA Wealth as key accounts manager to support this new function.
