Ex-Sesame director seeks Chartered Financial Planners
An ex-Sesame Bankhall commercial director will look to recruit more Chartered Financial Planners in his new job at adviser firm Fairey Associates.
Andrew Bedford has been snapped up to take the new role of head of business development. He starts on 1 July.
Fairey Associates was established by Ed Fairey, a Chartered Financial Planner, in 2008.
Among Mr Bedford's key objectives will be to boost the number of Chartered Financial Planners to cope with ‘increasing demands’ for advice across the South and East of England and improve clients’ experience.
He will aim to stimulate new assets under management from professional connections and stimulate new business referrals from existing clients.
He has run his own financial services consultancy firm since 2003, following his job with Sesame.
For the last four years Andrew has been working with Nordea Asset Management.
Ed Fairey, managing director for Fairey Associates, said: “We are moving ahead at speed producing profitable year on year growth, with adviser numbers and assets under advice all increasing significantly.
“The time is right for us to strengthen our senior team as we enter the next phase of our business plan.
“We are delighted that Andrew is now working with us as we will benefit from his wealth of experience and knowledge to deliver new services to clients and further ‘top line’ growth to our business.”
Mr Bedford said: “I am excited to be back working in the advice side of the profession. Fairey Associates is built on strong foundations, and Ed convinced me very quickly that it is a professional business, with strong ethics, ready to grow substantially over the next 2-5 years. I am looking forward to working with everyone. “
He will be based at Fairey Associates’ head office in Chelmsford.
