The FCA has cancelled the regulatory permission of Hull-based claims management firm Claims Direct Yorkshire Ltd (FRN 836352).
The regulator has removed the firm’s Part 4A permission which allows it to carry out regulated business.
The FCA said it had cancelled the firm’s permissions for failing to submit several required regulatory returns.
In August the FCA cancelled the Part 4A permissions of another claims firm, Manchester-based claims management company Domum Ltd (FRN 831104). The firm began trading under the name Reclaim Plan from June 2020, according to the FCA register. The firm had failed to pay required fees.
The firm is based in Chanterlands Avenue, Hull, according to the FCA register.
Claims Direct was authorised by the FCA from 30 April 2020 and had Part 4A permission to carry on a regulated activity and "seek out, referrals and identification of claims or potential claims (personal injury claim; financial services or financial product claim; housing disrepair claim; claim for a specified benefit; criminal injury claim; employment related claim)".
On 16 July 2024, the FCA notified the firm that it appeared it was carrying on no regulated activity to which its Part 4A permission relates.
The FCA said the firm failed to respond and was given further notice that its permissions would be cancelled.
