FCA warns about ‘Treasury’ financial firm
The FCA has issued a warning to investors about a company calling itself ‘Treasury Consulting Group.’
The regulator says it believes the ‘alternative investment’ firm has been providing financial services or products in the UK without authorisation.
The business, which targets HNW investors, claims expertise in the art market and other investments and says it has offices in London and Switzerland.
According to its website, still active today, it “manages capital for hundreds of fund investors in dozens of countries.” It claims to work with “pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, university endowments, charitable foundations, financial institutions, and family offices.”
Treasury Consulting Group is believed to be using these contact details:

The company’s website remains in operation as of today although with sketchy contact details. The website points out in a disclaimer that it is not regulated by the FCA.
The company claims it was founded in Geneva in 2005 and it was ‘incorporated’ in London in 2016.
The FCA advised investors to only deal with financial firms that are authorised and to check the Financial Services Register to ensure they are.
It points out that investors handing over money to unauthorised firms will not be covered by the Financial Ombudsman Service.
