David Jeffs, a financial adviser at wealth management firm HFM Columbus, has been charged with the murder of a London socialite. It is alleged that Mr Jeffs, 36, murdered Roberto Charles Troyan on 8 March. Mr Troyan was found dead at his flat in Mount St, Mayfair and police say he had suffered head injuries. Mr Jeffs was due to appear at Croydon Magistrates Court on 20 March. Mr Jeffs had worked as a private client adviser for HFM Columbus at its London offices since May 2009. {desktop}{/desktop}{mobile}{/mobile} HFM Columbus, which has offices in the City of London and Weybridge, Surrey, describes itself as offering "all inclusive, independent financial planning and wealth management". HFM Columbus is a Chartered Financial Planning firm. Mr Jeffs was previously managing director at Carleton Independent Financial Consultants from August 2006 to May 2009.
