Financial Planner continues expansion with new hire
Financial Planning and investment management group Tilney has made another hire in Aberdeen - its third this year.
The firm has appointed Jonathan Craig as a Financial Planner, based in Aberdeen, where he will report to Euan Milne who heads-up the Aberdeen office.
The appointment is the latest in a series of hires made by the firm in Scotland this year, where Tilney has offices in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen.
Mr Craig was described by Tilney as “a highly experienced adviser and Chartered Financial Planner who has worked in financial services for 20 years.”
He joins Tilney from Acumen Financial Planning where he was head of corporate services, advising businesses on workplace pensions, auto-enrolment and group protection, as well as private clients.
After graduating with a degree in financial services from Glasgow Caledonian University, he began his career with Scottish Widows and subsequently worked for Brewin Dolphin, Central Investment Services and AEGON before joining Acumen in 2014.
He is also a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society.
Paul Frame, head of Scotland and Northern Ireland at Tilney, said: “We are really delighted to welcome Jonathan to our team in Aberdeen.
“He brings a wealth of experience and local knowledge, having advised both private and corporate clients in Aberdeen and the east of Scotland for many years.
“At Tilney he will support private clients with holistic Financial Planning advice, including retirement planning, tax efficient investing and estate planning.
“Jonathan will work alongside our investment managers to deliver a really joined-up and bespoke approach to managing the financial affairs of our clients. “Tilney is proud to be one of the few UK-wide wealth management firms to have offices in the three largest cities in Scotland and we are deeply committed to growing our presence in each of these.
“In Aberdeen we have recruited three new staff in 2018, with Jonathan Craig and John Milne joining as Financial Planners and Lisa Gaskin joining the Client Delivery team.
“As we go into 2019, we will continue to look to add new people across our offices in Scotland, including high calibre financial planners and investment managers as we see excellent opportunities ahead.”
