UK Financial Planning and investment management firm Tilney has appointed a new investment director.
Ben Roberts will join the team in the company’s office in Manchester.
Mr Roberts joined from Brooks Macdonald where he has spent the past six and a half years as an investment director.
Prior to this he was private client manager for Brown Shipley Private Bank.
As well as working with external advisers, in Tilney’s Manchester team he will deliver advice as part of the firm’s ‘two expert’ approach which sees investment managers paired alongside the firm’s Financial Planners to provide what the firm calls “a high quality integrated wealth management service” to clients.
Alan Edwards, head of investment management at Tilney, said: “Ben is a highly experienced investment professional with an impressive track record of forging strong bonds with clients and professional advisers.
“We are delighted to welcome him to our team.
“This is the latest hire in our Manchester investment team, which we have doubled in size this year.
“Our ability to hire candidates of this calibre will stand us in good stead as we continue to strengthen our presence in the region.”
