Financial Planner seeks responses for dissertation survey
Institute of Financial Planning member David Ferry CFPCM is inviting Financial Planners and clients to help with research for his Masters dissertation.
Mr Ferry, investment manager at Ferry Financial in Birmingham, is currently studying for a MSc Financial Planning and Business Management at Manchester Metropolitan University.
This course was set up in association with the IFP to help Financial Planners become Fellows of the IFP and gain higher qualifications and insight. It covers areas such as professional practice, practice management and behavioural finance.
As part of his course, Mr Ferry is writing a dissertation titled 'Financial Planning: What do consumers want and what will they pay?'.
He hopes this research will help firms understand what consumers want from a financial adviser and how much they will pay.

The questionnaire has 17 questions and should take 15 minutes to complete. It covers areas such as how often consumers visit their adviser, what services they value and how much they would pay for particular services.
All data is anonymous but respondents should use a unique number to identify their answers if they want to withdraw from the study.
Once completed, it should be sent to Freepost Intelligent Financial Planning by 20 September.
