The question of whether Financial Planners should change their approach in the light of the major reforms to pensions will be among the key topics at this year's IFP Fellows Day.
The exclusive annual occasion of high level debate and discussion takes place on Monday and Tuesday next week at Coombe Abbey in Warwickshire. Following a dinner and drinks on Monday night Fellows will take part in the conference the next day. Mike Morrison, head of platform technical at AJ Bell, will give a talk on the key changes to pensions announced at the Budget, examining how, if at all, it may affect retirement strategies in their accumulation and decumulation phases. {desktop}{/desktop}{mobile}{/mobile} Chairman Francis Klonowski FIFP CFPCM will kick off the event before the first session, which will be covering the subject of creating an investment policy statement. The discussion, led by Steve Williams of Cormorant Capital Strategies, will look at whether the statement is needed and if so what should it contain.
