More than 100 people attended special screenings of a film designed to promote Financial Planning – to the delight of the producers.

The film called Boom! Demographics are Destiny was written and directed by Martin Bamford CFPCM, with Justin King CFPCM as executive producer. There were two screenings shown as part of the Financial Planning Week campaign run by the IFP. 
Mr Bamford told Financial Planner Online that there were about 50 in the audience at his screening in Surrey on Thursday night and 60-70 at Mr King's event in Dorset on Friday, including councilors and businessmen.
Mr King said: "I am delighted that so many local business people and decision-makers were able to watch this ground-breaking documentary, as the issues raised are so relevant for Christchurch and our surrounding area."

Mr King also held a book signing for Ready, Steady, Retire!, which he co-wrote with Mr Bamford, after the film was screened.
The feature-length documentary explores how Financial Planning will become the key to the Baby Boomer generation dealing with debt, divorce, disease and death in retirement.
Mr King's MFP Wealth Management was also one of the firms which opened their doors for free Financial Planning surgeries last week.
A couple of people took up the offer, seeking out advice about pensions and retirement planning and the firm reported receiving good feedback from them. Together, with the screening and press coverage in two local papers, the company said it had been a successful week.
