A former apprentice is one of two new directors at Acumen Financial Planning in West Lancashire.
Daniel Frampton FPFS joined the company in 2018 and has worked his way up after nearly a decade at the firm.
He is one of two new directors at the expanding firm, joining his colleague Cathy Holme on the board.
Mr Frampton joined Acumen Financial Partnership on an apprenticeship, in September 2018 with the aim of completing his initial Diploma in Financial Planning. This was followed by becoming a Chartered Financial Planner and he has also now qualified as a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society.
He then did a Masters Diploma with the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments (CISI) and he is now a Chartered Wealth Manager as well as a Chartered Financial Planner.
The Burscough-based firm was founded two decades ago by Angela Maher and manages around £420 million of client investments.
Daniel Frampton and Cathy Holme are the latest directors to be appointed from within the firm. Colleagues Jon Landy and Celia Evans have also recently joined the board.
Ms Maher said: “Our business continues to grow and to recognise this we have strengthened the board with an eye set firmly on future success.
“We’ve come a long way since I set up Acumen twenty years ago working alone from a spare bedroom and I’m confident we have a strong board in place to ensure continued growth.
“I’m proud of the company’s reputation in the sector with many of the teams’ achievements recognised by their peers.”
Daniel Frampton said: “This is a huge personal milestone but without the support of the team I would not have been given time to gain the necessary qualifications or receive the mentoring required to be appointed as a director.
“The board has set out a clear growth strategy and will continue to invest in its people to deliver the best outcomes for its clients.”
Acumen Financial is an independent financial adviser with offices in Burscough and Nateby, Lancashire.
