Fourth Financial Planner joins social media-friendly Serenity
Financial Planning firm Serenity has expanded its coverage with a second Financial Planner in the North of England.
The company is also claiming to be the first IFA in the UK to provide personalised Social Media training to its advisers.
Serenity Financial Planning says that Caroline Keegan will be joining the company as a Financial Planner on 17 August.
Although Serenity is London based, in line with expansion plans, the company is expanding its footprint around the UK, with Caroline being based in Slaithwaite, near Huddersfield in West Yorkshire.
Caroline Keegan is both a Certified Financial PlannerCM professional and a Chartered Financial Planner. She previously spent 12 years with the Yorkshire Investment Group (now know as UKWM).
Founder of Serenity Financial Planning and former IFA Personality of the Year (Professional Adviser Awards 2011) Tina Weeks said today: “We couldn’t be more excited about Caroline coming on board. Not only is she a great Financial Planner, but she is keen to embrace all aspects of technology and social media, which we believe will be increasingly integral to how Internet-savvy consumers find, review, refer and engage with Financial Planners.”
Tina Weeks was the first female Registered Life Planner (Kinder Institute) in the UK, and has become synonymous with successfully integrating Life Planning techniques into the company’s advice proposition.
Ms Weeks says that she believes that in a post RDR world, clients will demand far greater value from Financial Planners, who will increasingly need to differentiate their proposition to justify fees.
She added: “At the core of our proposition is Financial Life Planning, which is the ‘high-touch, high value’ aspect of our business. In fact we subsidise our advisers to attend the Kinder Institute’s Life Planning training courses.”
“But ‘high-tech’ is really important too, so we’re now giving all our advisers free training on how to use social media – plus personalised help with optimising their profiles on business networking sites LinkedIn and IFA Life.”
Tina Weeks fully embraces all aspects social media and has engaged Philip Calvert of IFA Life to provide training to her team.
