Financial advisory firm Frenkel Topping has launched a joint venture with law firm Pattinson Brewer to launch a financial advice service to personal injury clients.

The joint venture, Pattinson & Brewer Financial Services, take the number of joint ventures for the advisory firm to five in the personal injury and clinical negligence space.

Frenkel Topping will become Pattinson Brewer’s preferred partner for clients who require investment advice post settlement and the new joint venture Pattinson & Brewer Financial Services will extend Pattinson Brewer's suite of services to meet the needs of more complex clients.

Established in 1890, and with strong links with the UK's trade unions, Pattinson Brewer works with the country's biggest trade unions but also directly with thousands of individuals after accident or serious injury.

Frenkel Topping said the partnership is expected to support future growth through new client wins as well as adding to assets under management.

The joint venture is part of Frenkel Topping’s strategy to strengthen relationships with firms in the personal injury and clinical negligence space.

Earlier this month the firm acquired legal costs consultancy Bidwell Henderson Costs Consultants for £1.48m.

Frenkel Topping released a trading statement in June saying it is looking for more acquisitions as it looks to extend its pipeline of potential purchases. 

In its annual results released in May, the firm said it had raised £13m to funds its merger and acquisition strategy.

Recent acquisitions Forth Associates, A&M Bacon Limited and Partners in Costs Limited have now all been fully integrated into the group.

In 2020 Frenkel Topping’s revenue rose 19% to £10.2m (2019: £8.6m) with recurring revenue making up £7.2m of the total figure. Assets under management rose to exceed £1bn. 

Frenkel Topping will publish its half year financial results on 20 September 2021.
