Global Financial Planning chief and 3 ex-IFP presidents in line up
The chief executive of the global body for Financial Planning and three former IFP presidents are set to address the biggest Financial Planning event in the UK.
The Financial Planning Annual Conference is just a month away, with hundreds of delegates expected at Celtic Manor.
It is the first time the event has been run by the CISI since it merged with the IFP last November.
The Financial Planning Annual Conference begins on 3 October, with three days of expert speakers, debate, networking and the gala awards evening.
Noel Maye, CEO of the Financial Planning Standards Board, is among the keynote speakers, set to address delegates on Tuesday.
Former IFP presidents Campbell Edgar CFPTM Chartered FCSI, Julie Lord CFPTM Chartered FCSI and Marlene Outrim CFPTM Chartered FCSI will also be among those presenting at the event.
Among the 40 or more speakers will be professor David Hand OBE, chief scientific advisor at Winton Capital Management. He will speak about 'The improbability principle - why coincidences, miracles and rare events happen every day'.
Rob Stevenson, director of Kingmakers will give a presentation on 'selling your business - a 3 year plan'.
The conference keynote speaker is Steve Webb, former minister of state for pensions, who will be looking at the emerging pensions regulatory landscape.
“Stand Tall Together” is the theme of the conference, which will feature sessions targeted towards Financial Planners, Paraplanners, advisers and Wealth Managers. All conference sessions are accredited with 13+ hours of structured CPD.

• Casper Berry, former professional poker player

• Andy Bounds, motivational speaker and author, The Jelly Effect
