Global Financial Planning community gathers in Bangkok
Starting today Financial Planners from across the globe are gathering in Bangkok, Thailand, to discuss the future of the profession.
The Financial Planning Standards Board (FPSB), owner of the international Certified Financial Planner certification program outside of the United States, is holding its 21st global meeting, which runs until Thursday.
The volunteer and executive leaders of FPSB member organisations, representing more than 175,000 CFP professionals in 26 territories, as well as the FPSB board of directors, will develop long-term strategies for the global Financial Planning profession.
A full-day summit will also focused on Financial Planning technology, with guest speakers from the International Organization of Securities Commission’s Global Fintech Network and IBM Watson.
FPSB CEO Noel Maye said: “FPSB would like to thank Thai Financial Planners Association for the warm welcome and hospitality in hosting our annual meeting in Bangkok.
“FPSB is committed to benefiting the global community by establishing, upholding and promoting standards and certification requirements for the global Financial Planning profession.
“At our annual meeting, the FPSB network will focus on growing the profession so that even more people around the world will be able to plan well, to live well.”
