Have I Got News For You star addresses wealth managers
Have I Got News For You regular Miles Jupp entertained guests at the CISI Guernsey branch as they raised vital cash for charity.
The comedian, who has also been a regular on Mock the Week, was the star speaker at The annual dinner, which attracted 260 attendees from across the wealth management industry.
Hosted at Beau Sejour, guests listened to the celebrity who has appeared in various TV shows and films including Harry Potter And The Order Of The Pheonix and The Thick Of It.
The event raised £3,300 for the Caritas Community Charitable Trust, which runs a market gardening project for young people with the Probation Service, Prison Service, Social Security and Mental Health Services. The charity aims to establish a residential community to welcome support and nourish young people in difficulty, distress or need.

Mark Symons, Chartered FCSI and President of the CISI Guernsey branch, said: “This is my last year as President of the Guernsey branch and I am delighted to be part of the effort to raise such a fantastic amount of money for our chosen charity.
“Caritas, under the direction of founder Reverend Richard Bellinger is involved in establishing a residential community which welcomes, supports and nourishes young people in difficulty in the youth justice system, in distress or need, working with the land to grow self-esteem and change lifestyles.
“I understand our donation may be used for the acquisition of a mobile catering unit for the Charity and I would like to thank all our CISI members for their wonderful generosity for this very worthy cause. Caritas makes a difference on a daily basis to the lives of these young people and we are extremely pleased to be able to contribute to the charity’s activities.”
The CISI has over 500 Guernsey members. Its objective is to help members attain, maintain and develop their knowledge and skills and to promote the highest standards of ethics and integrity in the wealth management, Financial Planning and capital markets industry.
