The Institute of Financial Planning has announced donations at its annual conference raised over £6,000 for charity Breast Cancer Care. The organisation, which held the conference in October 2012, invited over 600 delegates to make donations to the charity during its gala dinner. During the dinner delegates enjoyed a group performance of Zumba dancing which was organised by the charity. As well as this, delegates including IFP chief executive Nick Cann and Financial Planner Jason McGuigan CFPCM were called to the stage to join in with the dance, to the amusement of delegates. {desktop}{/desktop}{mobile}{/mobile} Mr Cann said: "If my doing Zumba dancing helped raise even a little bit more money, then it was definitely worth it. Thanks to everyone who made a contribution and helped us generate such a considerable sum." Rachael Power of Breast Cancer Care in Cardiff said: "Every year, 55,000 people across the UK are diagnosed with breast cancer. Breast Cancer Care's mission is to be there for each and every one of them but we cannot do this without the support and fundraising efforts we receive from organisations like the IFP and its fantastic conference delegates. I am overwhelmed by how much you raised. Thank you. " The total amount is expected to rise when Gift Aid contributions are included.
