FPSB UK reports strong interest in CFPCM certification
With advisers now qualified to Level 4, more individuals are looking to take advanced level qualifications such as Certified Financial PlannerCM certification.
FPSB UK has reported a significant increase in the number of enquiries from members about the new diploma route to CFP certification, which now involves candidates sitting an examination before they proceed to attempting their financial plan based on a case study.
Lucy Courtenay, qualifications director at FPSB UK, said: "It's clear from talking to IFP members that attempting CFP certification has been on many people's "to do" lists for a long time.

She said: "It's great to see that now they're getting round to taking action. With all advisers now qualified to Level 4, the impetus to get on and obtain higher level qualifications is all the more relevant. The fact that the six step process - which lies at the heart of CFP certification - is also well known as a business model that can add demonstrable value for the client is also a huge plus point in the current market.
"I'm sure that the new examination structure, which has put a more formal procedure in place, will help candidates to be better prepared to attempt their financial plan as they will need to have got to grips with sound Financial Planning techniques before they even begin the case study process."
