IFP member pens new book on wealth management
IFP member Jason Butler CFPCM has written a new book as a guide to wealth management.
The book ‘The Financial Times Guide to Wealth Management’ is Mr Butler’s first book.
He currently works as principal of London-based Bloomsbury Financial Planning, an IFP Accredited Financial Planning firm.
Mr Butler says the book is different from other wealth management books in that it has a comprehensive approach and is written by a practicing Financial Planner rather than a journalist or ex-investment banker.
Topics in the book include strategic planning, portfolio taxation, later life planning and philanthropy.
Mr Butler said: “For some years I’d been looking for a comprehensive personal finance book, aimed at successful UK based individuals, which was written by a professionally qualified and experienced Financial Planner. I gave up looking and decided to write it myself.
“The Financial Times Guide to Wealth Management doesn’t represent everything I know about Financial Planning and managing wealth but it’s most of it!”
The book is also endorsed by IFP chief executive Nick Cann.
He said: “Well researched and intelligently set out, this guide provides an excellent route map and explains the essential components of Financial Planning and wealth management from one of the UK’s leading Financial Planners.”
To accompany the book is a new website called WealthPartner which readers can use to gain more information on topics covered in the book and access wealth planning tools.
One feature is called ‘Find a Firm’ and gives readers a list of around 15 firms which meet strict requirements, including being an IFP Accredited Financial Planning firm, if readers want to find their own adviser.
The book is currently available from large bookstores and on Amazon with a recommended retail price of £40.00.
