IFP President to attend FPSB meeting in Hong Kong
Institute of Financial Planning president Rebecca Taylor FIFP CFPCM will be travelling to Hong Kong next week for a meeting of the FPSB.
FPSB, the Financial Planning Standards Board, will be meeting to discuss how to develop the Financial Planning profession globally. The Board manages and develops the CFP certification around the world.
The week-long meeting from 22-26 April will include representatives from 24 member countries such as India, Brazil and Australia.
In addition to Ms Taylor, the UK will be represented by former IFP President Barry Horner who is on the FPSB board. Mr Horner will also take over as FPSB board chairman in 2014.

FPSB chief executive Noel Maye will be speaking on investor education around the world and partnership between Financial Planners and government.
Also attending will be Professor KC Chan who is the Hong Kong secretary for financial services and treasury and Stephen Po, senior director of the Hong Kong Securities and Future Commission.
Mr Po is also chairperson of the International Organisation of Securities Commission (IOSCO). It was announced last year that FPSB would become an affiliate member of IOSCO to help debate on the global securities market.
The FPSB Council holds bi-annual meetings, the most recent was held in the UK in October. It also holds regular European forums which are chaired by IFP chief executive Nick Cann.
