Iress appoints new UK executive managing director
Fintech and back office system provider Iress has promoted Alistair Morgan to a newly-created role of executive managing director - UK.
Mr Morgan has been the firm's UK chief financial officer since 2018, working closely with its local and global leadership team.
Before joining Iress, Mr Morgan held leadership roles at Jaguar Land Rover and KPMG.
In his new role he will assume day-to-day leadership and oversight of Iress’ UK business strategy and join Iress’ extended global leadership team reporting to Harry Mitchell, Iress’ group executive for wealth & the UK.
Harry Mitchell said: “Alistair brings the right balance of internal and external experience to this newly-created and pivotal leadership role for Iress’ UK business. He has the strategic mindset and financial acumen to successfully lead our UK business going forward.
He said Mr Morgan will assume day-to-day responsibility for Iress’ UK business unit including accountability for the firm's commercial, product, risk and technology outcomes.

Iress is a technology company providing software to the financial services industry. It provides software and services for trading & market data, financial advice, investment management, mortgages, superannuation, life & pensions and data intelligence.
It says its software is used by more than 10,000 businesses and 500,000 users globally. It has more 1,900 people based in Asia-Pacific, North America, Africa, the UK and Europe.
It had previously committed to maintaining its presence in the UK, in the face of media reports that suggested otherwise.
It said that it was focused on finding the right structure and conditions for success in the UK.
