The FCA is to consult on speeding up enforcement cases in an attempt to increase the deterrent impact of its actions and improve the public's confidence in the regulator as an enforcer.

The FCA has cancelled the Part 4A permissions of Liverpool-based claims management company MJL Focus Marketing (FRN 837145) after concluding that it was not a “a fit and proper person.”

A 46-year-old man pleaded guilty to fraud today at Southwark Crown Court following a prosecution brought by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). 

The Financial Conduct Authority cancelled the registration of more than 440 mutual societies last year, most of which had already been wound up.
