New data on the nation’s finances published by the Office for National Statistics today showed that the UK saving ratio now stands at 11.1%, higher than it was before the pandemic.

CPI inflation remained at 2% in June, the same as May, the ONS reported today. 

CPI inflation continued its rapid downward trend, falling in May to the Bank of England's long-term target of 2% from 2.3% the previous month.

CPI inflation in April fell to 2.3%, down sharply from 3.2% in March, ONS reported today.
