John Moret joins management team of Intelligent Pensions
Sipps specialist John Moret has joined the management team of retirement planning firm Intelligent Pensions as non-executive chairman.
His appointment coincides with a phase of significant growth for the firm that will see it expand to meet increased demand from advisers.
Mr Moret runs his own consultancy business More to Sipps and is a former director of sales and marketing at Suffolk Life. During his time at Suffolk Life he was part of the management team which negotiated the sale of Suffolk Life to Legal & General.
In the early 1990s he was also a leading supporter of drawdown and engaged with government officials, HMRC and financial advisers to introduce income drawdown as an alternative to annuities for retirement income.
Steve Patterson, managing director at Intelligent Pensions, said: “John clearly brings a wealth of business and pension expertise which will further broaden the skills and experience of the leadership team at Intelligent Pensions.”
Mr Moret said: “I am looking forward to working with the team at Intelligent Pensions to achieve our objective of delivering specialist retirement advice to a wider audience of advisers and their clients.
“I have been aware of the Intelligent Pensions business for many years and was delighted to be asked to support the quality of work Intelligent Pensions is delivering to the adviser market and clients.”
As well as this position, Mr Moret is a non-executive director of Dentons Pension Management and a non-executive chair of customer service standard awarding body Investor in Customers.
