Julie Lord takes live public quizzing on Financial Planning
Former Institute of Financial Planning president Julie Lord will field questions from the public today about Financial Planning as part of a campaign to raise consumer awareness.
Ms Lord CFPTM Chartered FCSI, FPFS Chartered Financial Planner, is spearheading a webcast for the public for the CISI’s Financial Planning Week.

Ms Lord, who heads up Magneta Financial Planning, will speak alongside veteran planner, Francis Klonowski CFPTM Chartered FCSI, a former IFP Leeds branch chairman and owner of Klonowski and Co.
This will run from 2pm to 3pm.
A second webcast will be held on Thusday from 12pm to 1pm. This will feature Nigel Hutchinson CFPᵀᴹ Chartered FCSI, private client partner at Mazars UK and Gareth Rees CFPᵀᴹ Chartered FCSI, Chartered Wealth Manager, from GEM & Co Financial Services.
The CISI told members of the public: “This one-hour online webcast is here to help you spring-clean your finances, so you can reach your goals in life.”
The professional body stated: “Putting simple financial plans in place and making some smart decisions to help achieve your goals and dreams in life is the first step towards really taking control of your life and gaining valuable peace of mind.
“If you've got a financial planning question that you're currently navigating, why not ask one of our CFPᵀᴹ professionals for their expert opinion?
“Whether you are: debating whether to go into university or investing in your own business; considering between buying a home or saving for retirement; wondering how best to save money to support your children through university; worried about when you can afford to retire; concerned about the amount of inheritance tax that might need to be paid upon your death.”
The live webcast will be possible to be viewed from a desktop computer, tablet, or smartphone via the CISI website.
