The Institute of Financial Planning has produced a programme on its IFPTV channel about the highlights of the IFP conference.

The conference, which begins on Monday, is the flagship event for the IFP.

Key people in the IFP world provide their opinion on why the IFP annual conference is their favourite IFP event.

Asked what the best parts of the conference were, Damien Rylett, chairman of the Bristol branch, said: “The programme is excellent, ranging from technical sessions to personal development sessions. The ability to network with your peers and also the ability to let your hair down in the evening.”

Barry Horner CFP^CM, immediate past IFP president, said: “I encourage a number of our team to go along, I think it’s a fantastic opportunity to hear keynote speakers from all around the world.

“Over the last few years we’ve managed to bring in some significant people from the profession, other people who are running businesses and other inspirational speakers.

“It’s also the networking opportunities at conference, of meeting with like minded individuals who all share the same passion for seeing the profession come of age.

Jane Wheeler FIFP, CFP^CM ,former IFP president, said: “I think this year’s annual conference will be particularly exciting because it’s the 25^th anniversary so there’ll be lots of partying!”
