Less than a month until IFP Ethics Conference
There is less than a month to go until the Institute of Financial Planning Ethics Conference on 26 April.
The conference, titled ‘The Only Way is Ethics’, will take place at Warwickshire Golf and Country Club in Warwick.
There are some tickets still available for the day which is open to both IFP members and non-members.
Similar to the successful ethics and practice standards day held by the IFP last year, the focus will be on ethics and ethical behaviour in Financial Planning and is an opportunity to gain structured CPD.
Topics at the conference will include challenges to ethical behaviour, ethics and investment management and matching investments to client needs from speakers such as Phil Billingham CFPCM from Threesixty, Prof. Andrew Clare from Cass Business School and Paul Resnik from Finametrica.
The Financial Services Authority has previously said it is keen for advisers to demonstrate strong ethical behaviour as part of their overall competence and professionalism.
David Jackson, who started the ethics focus at the FSA, will be speaking in the afternoon on how to embed an ethical approach into your firm.
The event is worth 4.5 hours of CPD including almost three hours worth of ethics and practice standards CPD.
Tickets cost £125 for members and £175 for non-members.
