London Chartered Financial Planning firm Westminster Wealth Management has hired former Fairstone director Mark Hewson to the newly-created role of director of business operations.

Mr Hewson was previously managing director of the Fairstone City of London office and divisional director of the wider business.

In his new role he will focus on operational excellence, collaborating with managing partner Martin Lockyer and the leadership team to implement the firm’s strategic vision. He will also work alongside the head of recruitment to identify and onboard new advisers.

Westminster Wealth was formed in London in 2000 by Martin Lockyer and Kevin Hughes. It is a privately owned, independent financial advisory group, providing financial advice to a wide range of clients which oversees more than £2bn of assets. It has 55 IFAs and more than 80 individuals overall, including compliance and support staff.
