Wealth manager and SIPP provider Mattioli Woods has renewed its partnership with nationally-known rugby union team Leicester Tigers for the 2026/27 season.
The partnership sees the Leicester-based wealth manager retain the naming rights to the Mattioli Woods Welford Road Stadium, which Mattioli Woods’ CEO Peter Mann describes as an ‘iconic asset’.
The strategy includes original digital content, supporter experiences, educational initiatives and business events. By combining Leicester Tigers' digital platforms with Mattioli Woods' own channels, the programme is designed to reach rugby supporters and wider audiences across the UK, the firm said.
Plans include player-led content, financial wellbeing campaigns, supporter competitions, educational webinars, business networking events and planning sessions for academy players and their families.
Peter Mann, CEO of Mattioli Woods, said: "Our partnership with Leicester Tigers has always represented far more than brand visibility. It reflects shared values of ambition, teamwork, performance and long-term success.
"As Mattioli Woods continues to grow as a national business, this renewal gives us the opportunity to evolve the partnership beyond traditional sponsorship. By combining iconic assets such as Mattioli Woods Welford Road Stadium with a much stronger digital activation strategy, we'll be able to engage supporters, clients and communities throughout the year while extending the reach of the Mattioli Woods brand across the UK.”
Colleagues and clients of Mattioli Woods will also gain access to hospitality and ticket allocations.
Mattioli Woods, which also has a large SIPP and SSAS business, was founded in 1991. It offers Financial Planning and employee benefits services to individuals, families, business owners and corporate clients across the UK.
Mattioli Woods has more than 30,000 clients and provides professional advice to individuals, families and businesses. It employs more than 200 financial advisers across more than 40 nationwide offices.
Kingswood, which itself acquired more than 20 financial advice firms, hit the buffers in recent years and needed several cash injections to repay loans. At one stage Kingswood had to warn that it could run out of money to service its £91m debt pile.
Mattioli Woods is supported by private equity group Pollen Street Capital.
