MKC Wealth hires Financial Planning director from Quilter
Expanding Financial Planner and wealth manager MKC Wealth has appointed Quilter's Sarah Waring as Financial Planning director.
Ms Waring headed-up the private client Financial Planning team at Quilter.
She holds the Diploma in Financial Planning and is a Certified Financial Planner.
She began her career as an IFA at Buckles Investment Services, before joining Sanlam Wealth Planning, where she was promoted to regional sales manager.
She joined Quilter to set up and run the group's Chester office in 2015 and she was promoted to client and proposition director in 2018.
Dominic Rose, chief executive of MKC Wealth said: "Sarah is an experienced leader of Financial Planning teams and brings additional strength and depth to our executive team. We look forward to Sarah leading the development of our growing team of 31 Financial Planners to the next stage."
Ms Waring said: “The firm has achieved a great deal in a short space of time with an impressive track record of growth. I’m looking forward to getting to know the growing team of Financial Planners and continuing to evolve this.”
Ms Waring, originally from North Wales, graduated with first class honours in mathematics from the University of London. Outside work, she participates in charity fund raising events and travelling the world.
City of London-based MKC Wealth is backed by private equity firm Cabot Square Capital which owns a number of businesses including Key Retirement Solutions.
MKC has acquired several Financial Planning firms in recent years including eight firms in 2023. Last month it acquired London-based Financial Planning Firm Wealth for Women for an undisclosed sum.
In December it added £90m to its assets under advice by acquiring Buxton-based Crescent Independent and the client base of Bury-based IFA Christine Brearley.
In October MKC acquired Wimbledon Chartered Financial Planning firm Holborn Financial for an undisclosed sum. It now has 31 Financial Planners and a total team of more than 90 across three offices with some £1.5bn of assets under advice. It acquired the advice arm of the troubled Lighthouse group from Quilter in 2021.
