Retirement specialist adviser My Pension Expert (MPE) has acquired EIS Financial Services, a financial advice firm formed by Scottish teachers' union EIS.
Yorkshire-based MPE parent company My Money Expert acquired EIS Financial Services from Cornmarket Group Financial Services, who purchased it in 2020.
Glasgow-based EIS Financial Services is the official investment and insurance partner of the EIS teachers union, giving EIS members access to professional financial advice. The firm specialises in retirement planning, general Financial Planning, life insurance and income protection.
The acquisition of EIS Financial Services was completed earlier this year, in April.
In 2025 EIS Financial Services reported a 12% increase in turnover to £1.86m, which it attributed to the popularity of its Centralised Investment Proposition and the strength of its relationship with the Educational Institute of Scotland.
My Money Expert is one of two general Financial Planning brands from My Pension Expert. It offers basic Financial Planning advice focusing on savings, ISAs, general investments and pension insights.
My Pension Expert also owns Imperium Advice, which provides bespoke advice for clients with ‘larger financial assets’, covering investments, tax planning and protection.
The at-retirement adviser secured a £25m refinancing deal through digital lender OakNorth to help fund expansion plans in April 2025. My Pension Expert, backed by private equity business Palatine, said the funding would support the brand’s acquisition pipeline.
My Pension Expert was founded in 2010 and specialises in providing independent advice to UK consumers on their pension plans.
